10 Health and Nutrition Tips That are Skewed.  There's a lot of confusion when it comes to health and nutrition, here is why, and how that comes about.

People like you and I, even the "Qualified Experts", often seem to have the exact opposite views on what is Good and Bad Nutrition.  So let's take a look at  10 Health and Nutrition Tips That are Skewed, and lead to "Nutritional Folklore".

1. Sugary drinks are the most fattening things you can put into your body. This is because liquid sugar calories don’t get registered by the brain in the same way as calories from solid foods. US National Library of Medicine National Institutes of Health.

  • This Study by Pub Med.gov leads one the think and believe that it is the drinking of Carbs that is the problem, and WHAT, Eating Carbs is ...Better?
  • Surgery Drinks may metabolize quicker but, the problem is in the Glucose levels in the Blood that cause Insulin levels to rise, timing is of no significant statistical difference.
  • The Brain only registers carbs as glucose, and as an inferior fuel source, because there are no Ketones, regardless of what form it comes from.  This ass-hat statenemt makes us think that carbs are ok if we eat them as opposed to drinking them.

2. Eating Nuts, "Despite being high in fat", nuts are incredibly nutritious and healthy.  

  • Saying "Despite" then pointing to this article that says this: "there is some concern that the high-fat, energy-dense content of nuts may promote weight gain". There are no concerns what so ever in my mind, if you read this report you can see all the benefits of High amounts of Fat in your Diet.
  • The Authorities Fail to Connect the Dots, it is the High Fat, Hello!!!,  that will confer health benefits for cardiovascular disease and type 2 diabetes delay and prevention.  It is Fat consumption that will promote long-term weight change.  
  • Several independent prospective studies found that increasing nut consumption was associated with lower weight gain over relatively long periods of time.  SO Nuts are Magic?  How Misleading!
  • Moreover, high consumption of nuts (especially walnuts) has been associated with lower diabetes risk. Therefore, regular consumption (approximately one handful daily) of nuts over the long term, as a "replacement to less healthful foods", can be incorporated as a component of a healthy diet for the prevention of obesity and type 2 diabetes.  And that folks is The Rub, The Replacement of Unhealthy Foods.  Replacements do not have to be "Magical Nuts", Jerky, Pork Rinds, any High Fat Snack will do...even Nuts.

3. Processed Foods Are Harming People.  They are the main reason why people all over the world are getting fat and sick.

  • I will not argue that Processed Foods are not Garbage,  but whether they are processed or not, Carbs are Carbs.  Experts seem to think that Natural Carbs are a good thing, and because they are not processed, they are "Whole Foods" and "Good For You".  People are getting Sick due to Glycated Proteins and Fat (Body Fat) due to a high carb diet.
  • Refined (or processed) grains are milled differently from whole grains. The milling process removes the bran and often the germ from the grain -- stripping away fiber as well as many other important nutrients. Humans are unable to digest cellulose (Fiber) because the appropriate enzymes to breakdown the beta acetal linkages are lacking.  Un-digestible cellulose is the fiber which aids in the smooth working of the intestinal tract, I call BS on this because "No vertebrate can digest cellulose directly".  Also Fiber does not "Move the Food" through the digestive system, this myth actually causes inflammation due to the fermentation process in the Gut, because of the Fiber and Cellulose.
  • I guess if we eat Good and Natural Carbs, we'll all be okay,  This skewing and misdirection of knowledge leads one to think that as long as you eat a whole grain carb you won't get fat or sick.

4. Take Vitamins mostly vitamin D, Mounting evidence suggests that vitamin D deficiency could be linked to several chronic diseases

  • Sunlight is a good source of vitamin D, but then they say stay out of the sun.  One article suggest that our Great, Great Grandparents spent 68% more time in the sun...without Sunscreen? No Way!
  • Cod liver oil, Sardines, Salmon, Mackerel, Tuna, and well, more fish, for Vitamin D but, thanks to Fukushima I would stay away from Pacific fish though.
  • Raw Milk, this is what I mean, the Experts say Drink Raw Milk for Vitamin D3, vitamin D deficiency is a global health problem, yet the Fed's arrest the Amish and ban the use of Raw Milk Products.
  • If you eat a High Fat Diet your body will get all the vitamins it needs from the food you eat, but if you eat a Plant (Cellulose) Based Diet, your body can't get at those vitamins, as stated in #3 for lack of an Enzyme, so, Do We Really NEED all those Vitamins from A to Zinc, if we can't get to them Naturaly? 

5. The Glycemic Index is a number associated with a particular type of food that indicates the food's effect on a person's blood glucose (also called blood sugar) level.

  • The Glycemic Index, and Good Carbs, Bad Carb theory  is Junk Science built on the myth that Fiber will Slow glucose released into the Blood, therefore reducing the insulin spikes common in High Glycemic Foods.
  • I could quote Chapters of science and over a 1000 Peer Reviewed papers that would make my point, but here is a graphic that does it better, I guess a Picture IS worth a Thousand Words.

6. Exercise More, Many Experts and Doctors alike say that exercise is one of the most important parts of keeping your body at a healthy weight, lower the risk of some diseases, reduce the risk of type 2 diabetes, and high blood pressure too.

  • No doubt that most people that already have all those problems need to do something, I would suggest reevaluating their decision making paradigm in regards to their eating habits and diet.  But once again, the "Experts" tell us to Join a Gym.
  • Exercise is also a key to weight control because it burns calories. "If you burn off more calories than you take in, you lose weight. It's as simple as that". No it's even simpler than that, If you don't Over-eat in the first place, you won't need to burn those extra calories.
  • Overeating is caused from hunger pains (you muscles needing fuel), and this is due to the Poor Quality of Fuel that you are told is Good Food, so you Break Down and Snack, your caloric intake goes up, and now you feel that you must exercise to burn that overage off.  Fat has twice the fuel as Carbs do, eating 2000 calories on a High Fat Diet is close to impossible due to satiation, you just won't be hungry.  So, if you eat High or Low Carb Diet  with LOW FAT  you will be Starving in the Face of Obesity.

7. Fat Causes Heart Disease, "Research makes it clear" that abnormal blood lipid (fat) levels have a strong correlation with the risk of coronary artery disease, heart attack and coronary death.  But the Research is NOT Clear!

  • The nutritional myth that saturated fat is bad for you continues to fall apart as a steady stream of new books and studies on this topic hit the media. The latest work to challenge the old dogma is a book called The Big Fat Surprise
  • This Tripe is also known as the diet-heart hypothesis.  This theory has never been proven, despite it having been the cornerstone of dietary recommendations since 1977, WOW talk about your Doctor being in the dark.
  • Diabetes & Heart Disease- The clinical evidence linking excess insulin levels to heart disease came from mid-1960’s studies of non-diabetics. This discovery came only 10 years after the mid-1950’s notion (myth) that fat and cholesterol were the causes of heart disease. 

8. Follow MyPlate.Gov, Eight Healthy Eating Goals from HHS, Small changes can make a big difference to your health.

  • The all Knowing Government says to "switch to fat-free or low-fat (1%) milk: Both have the same amount of calcium and other essential nutrients as whole milk, but fewer calories and less saturated fat".  Wrong and Right again, there are more Calories because of the fat content, Fat IS the primary Fuel for Humans.
  • "Cut back on solid fats and eat fewer foods that contain solid fats" from the mouth of Dr. Phil, and his doppie book, 20/20, He must have Cut and Pasted this from Men's Health Magazine.  Yet, Michael Obama, another Non-Doctor, pushes this bad idea.
  • So let me get this straight, eat 75% of MyPlate in Carbs, and the rest in Protein, of which 60% of protein will also turn into Carbs, How Bout NO! They teach this Junk Nutrition to our Children in Schools BTW.

9.Choose a variety of lean protein foods, Protein metabolism, and effect on blood glucose levels..

  • When you eat more protein than your body needs to replace and repair body parts, excess protein is largely converted into glucose (Carbohydrate) and burned as fuel, Junk Fuel.  Do Not Micromanage you Fat and Protein, just eat Meat.
  • This article is so full of Misdirection, Misinformation and is so Misleading that I'll just let you read it yourself.  The biggest Misconception is this tidbit, "high fat intake does appear to contribute to insulin resistance".  Insulin Resistance is the same as being Antibiotic Resistant, too much, too often, and that is due to Eating Carbs (Sugar) all day long, Not Fat.

10. Talk to your Doctor before starting any New Dietary regimen.

  • While physicians encourage patients to make healthy food choices, only 27 percent of U.S. medical schools actually offer students the recommended 25 hours of nutritional training.  Not Credit Hours, just hours in the classroom, over 4 years.
  • Talking to your Doctor or Nutritionist about Biochemistry, is like talking to a Corn Farmer about Ethanol Refinement, Manufacturing and Distribution, same Ballpark, different Ball game.
  • We trust doctors to offer us the most effective treatments possible, but in some cases, what they offer may not be the best options for us. In fact, many of the medications and procedures they recommend actually have little evidence behind them, according to a new report in ProPublica.

Let me be the first to say, that as a concerned Parent, Spouse, and just caring person, it is next to impossible to decipher through all the myths and folklore.  Most of the confusion might come from a Real concern to help out, and not some Conspiracy, to kill EVERYONE, but to think all intentions are good would be equally naive.

Big Pharma has said, with their Out Loud Voice,​ "That their goal is to manage Disease, not to Cure it", and maybe they know that many of these diseases are incurable. Yet they will promote Drug after Drug, and Study after Study designed to confuse the Public.  

Turning to Big Brother and to our Politicians is a joke at best, they are not experts, the problem is they act as if they are, and push a "One Size Fits All" approach.​  

Many diseases are curable though, and science has tried to tell us how our bodies work to heal ourselves, yet we are spoon fed lie after lie, by Big Media, Big Pharma, and Big Government.

​This is why it is my Theory that these 10 Health and Nutrition Tips That are Skewed, causing confusion, and leading to poor health.
